Out of Time
You appear in a coffee shop, just a couple of blocks from school, your brain tells you that much. You wonder what you're doing here. You head towards the door and look inside, suddenly shocked by what you see.
Dean is there with another girl and has his arm around her. You try to convince yourself that they're just friends or something complicated like that, but the more you look, the more you can't deny what's right in front of you. Could Natalie have known about this? You enter with fury.
"What the heck are you doing?" You scream. Everyone in the coffee shop stares at you and probably think you're crazy.
"Mar, it isn't what it looks like." You laugh, the scornful side of yourself is coming out now.
"Don't even try to explain, Nat warned me about this and I chose not to believe her," You feel so out of breath just from saying that, "I'm so stupid." You storm out before he can catch up to you. You wonder if what you just did was enough to stop you from ending up in this coma.
