Summer Vacation

When you walk into the kitchen, your mom is making oatmeal for breakfast and your dad is reading the newspaper.

You stand tall and say, "Mom, Dad, I want to talk to you about my summer."

You dad looks up, "Of course. You're getting to be a big guy now, we were thinking..."

You cut him off, "Matt is planning a road trip up to Northern California. We would stop along the way at Yosemetie and San Fransisco, but we just want to experience stuff, and Matt is a really safe driver..."

Your mom looks irate, "Absolutely not...I won't have you trapssing around California like bums. You should..."

You dad stands up and tries to calm her down. "Look Mary, we've been talking about having our son be more independant. This could be a good opportunity. Besides, I did something like this when I was his age. It was harmless fun."

You mom gives in, "Just be sure to visit Stanford and Berkeley on your way up."

You agree.

Next morning you are sitting in the shotgun seat of Matt's old van. Matt, is a tall kid, with a gigantic 'fro. He's been your friend since fifth grade. He looks over at you.

"Wow, man, we are like, free." he says. "Where to first?"

You have been thinking of suggesting Yosemetie or perhaps San Fransisco. You say...
