Out of Time
After what seems like and eternity of awkward silence, you decide that you are completely lost in this situation and need help.
"Um... Hi. I'm..." you decide you better not tell them you're their daughter. It would probably freak them out too much. "I'm Lynn. I need your help. I don't know where I am, and I think I'm in a coma."
Your parents give you a questioning look. Another few seconds of empty dialogue fills your stomach with knots. Finally, your father breaks the silence.
"You're kidding right? You expect us to believe that?"
You stomach drops as you realize how random and crazy that must sound to another person. You continue to try and convince them.
"I'm being serious. I need your help. Can you please at least tell me where I am?"
Your father responds more irked than ever. "Please leave us alone."
Panic and hurt begins to flood through your body. Before you have time to make a rebuttal, you realize that there’s blood on your clothes, where wound near your heart has opened. You fall onto the sand and seconds later, you die from cardiac arrest. In the real world, you flatline and your heart eventually gives out.
