I'm a Part-Time Witch

You feel tears stream down your face. Your shoulders shake slightly with each breath, and your lip quivers as you bite down on it. You feel dozens of eyes burning into your head, only fueling your fear even more.

“H-Harper?! What’s wrong?” You feel two arms wrap around you, and you slowly look to your right to see your best friend, Noah, hugging you tightly. His eyes are filled with concern, calming you down slightly.

“Harper-” You swing your head toward Mr. Green, who awkwardly steps toward you. Your eyes widen and you scoot back in your chair, the sound of the chair scrapping on the floor disrupting all the whispers and glances from all your third period art class.

Art class, you’re in art class. Somehow that information calms you down slightly. You must’ve been dreaming, right? Yeah, you were dreaming. Mr. Green probably didn’t almost maybe kill you, DREAM Mr. Green probably almost killed you.

Your teacher awkwardly coughs as you wipe the tears out of your eyes, putting your hand on Noah’s. “S-sorry,” you whisper softly “I don’t know what came over me.” He slightly smiles, walking toward you and putting his hand on you shoulder.

“Would you mind coming to talk to me after class?” You weakly smile and nod. Mr. Green nods and walks away to go scold kids to get back to work and stop talking about you.

“What-What’s wrong? Are you alright Harper?” Noah asks softly, with a small smile that breaks through your sadness.
