Adaptability
"Ohhhhh no. Oh no no no no no!" Your friend starts freaking out, as you both realize that your model can't fit together properly to be glued seamlessly.
Anxiety before a major project presentation does no good for the speaker, so you try your best to console him. "It's okay, maybe we'll say it got blown up during our presentation!" you offer weakly. "Maybe the teacher will let us pass with that excuse?"
...
"...and... our model was of a tank from World War Two, but... um... it was blown up." You smile weakly, as your friend waves jazz hands around your two-part model. "Ta da...!"
Your history teacher raises her eyebrow and squints at your model, eyes narrowing. "Did you know that it was included in the rubric for you to have a complete model?"
Your friend interjects. "Yeah, but-"
"Clearly, your model is in two parts. That's not exactly one model. The rubric indicated that all parts of your model had to be attached, no?"
Before you can reply, she says, "An incomplete model is an automatic zero. Thank you for your presentation."
If only you had adapted and glued the parts together, or even did the rest of the model yourself...
