Doorways
"Look, I come from a different age," you say, "everyone has these things where I come from."
Father Bartholomew raises one eyebrow but at least he hasn't attacked you yet. You notice Isobel looking at you with an uneasy look.
"Erm, I know this doesn't sound very convincing, but I came here through a door in a forest. I was in my world and now I'm in yours."
"So, you admit that you are a witch?" booms the priest. "And this is your familiar," he says holding up the mobile phone.
"No, nothing like that. Please believe me. If you let me have the phone back, I'll show you," you say (though you do wonder what signal you will get here).
Isabel comes close to you with her dagger raised. "Father Bartholomew, I think you should give this person an opportunity to prove herself, but if she tries anything threatening, I have this dagger at her heart."
Reluctantly Father Bartholomew hands you the phone. You dial home ....
