The Disappearance of Chloe Marsh

You're drowsy and light headed. You're cold and wet. Rain pounds against your limp body as your eyes slowly open your eyes. With blurred vision, you can only make out dark colors. You realize that you're laying in the mud and it's soaking through your clothes and sticking to your skin. You push yourself up on your weak and trembling arms. The harsh winds almost knock you over. You see that you're laying in the middle of a forest during an awful thunderstorm.

"W-what?" You gasp out. Your body throbs with pain when you stand. Before you can fully comprehend what is happened, you hear a shrill scream from deep in the forest. It echoes and fades with the winds. It stills your heart. It won't stop.

"Hello!?" You call out. You're answered with more screaming. You have to do something, quick. You trudge through the mud towards the screaming. Your heart beats widely and everything thought in your mind tells you to go back, but you can't. You know that scream. You have to go!

You break out into a run. You slip and slide in the mud and push yourself off the trees. The screams are fading.

You try to yell, but your voice is silenced by the wind. There's a thunderous crash followed by the rumble of the earth. You stop and turn just in time to see one of the trees crash down towards you.
