The Werewolf Chronicles
You decide that trying to follow one of the two is helpless, because outrunning a wolf is probably pointless. You walk back inside, lay down, and try to go back to sleep. With all the thoughts of the past couple hours rushing through your head, it's tough for you to fall asleep. After an hour of tossing and turning, you start to doze off. You awake to hear twigs snapping and leaves crunching, a chill runs down your spine. You hear the deep breaths of what sounds like a huge beast, sniffing relatively close to your room. You slowly roll over in bed to look out of your window; a old rusty glass pane, moonlight shining through the dust. Suddenly, a looming shadow crosses over the dimly lit window. You can feel the hairs rising on your neck.
