D-DAY
You look out the window, a gorgeous view of the school's courtyard on the other side of the glass. Your classroom is a floor above ground level, so you have a perfect view of the entire courtyard. The fountain in the very center always caught your eye, it's intricate design pleasing your aesthetic. You rest your chin on your hand and stare as the water cascades down each level of the fountain.
You notice a tiny girl hurriedly walking across the courtyard towards your building, her miniskirt bouncing slightly at each step she takes. She has her schoolbag clutched to her chest and her phone whipped out, typing furiously on the screen. You catch a glimpse of dark red hair an- WAIT A FUCKING MINUTE
Your eyes widen and your heart skips a beat. It couldn't be... Before you have time to check that your eyes weren't just playing tricks on you, the girl had already disappeared under the overhang of the building.
You try to reason with yourself. She wasn't supposed to be in Australia for another month.
