Shadowlands
You try frantically texting your sister.
There is no response.
As you type furiously, you hear a loud banging sound outside. You head toward the window to glance outside. As you glance outside, you hear what sounds like a scream in the distance. As you try to search for the source of the scream, scanning the area, the lights go out.
You blink and try to adjust to the dark. As your eyes adjust, you quickly realize that the entire neighborhood must have lost power. Everything is pitch black outside, save for a few things you can distinguish by moonlight.
You pause and think- what should you do now?
As you stop and think, something starts slowing scraping against the window. You retreat in horror. It looks like an arm, but you can't be sure. Everything is so dark.
