Doorways

"In your world creatures such as dragons, fairies and the like live only in books or the imagination. Here, in this realm, they are very real indeed, and many times are quite dangerous."

You ponder these things for a moment and realize that you really have very little choice but to brave the dangers if you wish to get home.
