The story of one British Immigrant

You've decided to take the leap and journey to Halifax with your family. The ship conditions on this long travel are deadly. You have heard of these ships and you hear them being called coffin ships often. Many women and children died on these ships as they were weaker by nature. The closed spaces meant that sickness and disease could easily spread and plague others. Feces and bodily fluids were badly disposed of and often cause extreme sickness as people were living for months on end with fecal matter in their quarters. You cannnot afford safer conditions, you're worried about your wife and child but you can't turn back now.
