Time Travel

I let my eyes drift closed. When I wake up again it's nearly evening. I lazily get up and get showered. It's the 1970's, so there are nice showers at least. As I get into the shower, I imagine my old home. My old home, before the box came into my life. It was a nice cul-de-sac with a view of the lake out back. It was built in 2005, so it was a fairly new house when my family moved in. I could still see the Little Mermaid curtain in my bathroom...
The suddenly cold water on my back startled me back to reality. Crap, I need to explain to Mrs.Woodswroth why I didn't work today, I thought hastily. I finished showering, threw on my only pair of clothes, and went downstairs. The shop was fairly empty, but I found the elderly woman behind the counter, stocking the shelves. She looked at me silently, pursing her lips. "I can explain, I'm feeling a bit under the weather today..." I started off. "Look girl, I only took you in because I had pity on you. You dress strangely and have no manners, but I still took you in. This has been the third time in a week that you didn't get out of bed. My hospitality only goes so far. You have one hour to clear out of my house," she said, turning away from me and dismissing me. Shit...I can't believe I lost my chance at living under a roof. I blinked my tears away and hurried to my room, grabbing all my possessions. I only had a backpack with a pocketknife, some granola bars, a blanket, a flashlight, and an old laptop in it. I stepped out of the house, and looked around me. Where do I go now?
