"Shhhh..." You say, trying to whisper to her. "Don't worry, I'm here."
You look about at the horror that is the room. You're not sure you want to come back to this place - you may not even want to come back to this campground after today. It's probably prudent to poke around down here while you can, to minimize the chances of having a reason to come back down here again.
"Stay calm." You say to her, though you can't help but think it's meaningless blabber to her ears. "I'll get you down soon enough, I just want to take a look around first."
She glares daggers at you. She's clearly not taking the idea well.
