Summer Vacation
You've been burned one too many times by girls and things couldn't possibly go well with this chick.
You turn your eyes back to the pool. You are a lifeguard, after all.
The girl finishes her cigarette, jumps in the pool and swims around for a bit before towling off and leaving.
You can't help but think that maybe you've made a mistake by not taking the initiative and talking to her.
Days turn into weeks and you keep working at the pool. You try talking to a few other girls, but they don't seem to interested in you. They prefer talking to the water polo guys who practice at the pool.
You end your summer with some cash, but few good memories.
