The Adventures of Princess Maddy
You wake up to the sound of knocking on your bedroom door. "Come in," you shout wiping the sleep out of your eyes.
Your door opens and in walks a large man in a dark robe. His face is shrouded by the deep hood pulled over his head. You recognize him as one of your father's rangers who quickly approaches your bedside.
"Gavin," you say sitting up quickly. "What is it?"
"I'm sorry to wake you, milady," he says pulling back his hood. "It's your sister. She's missing!"
"What? How can that be? We have guards! The gates remain locked at night!"
"We don't know, milady," he says with his head hung low. "They must have snuck in and taken her. There are signs of a struggle in her room, but no one heard the commotion. Normally we would tell your father the king, but as you know he and your mother are gone on business."
"Have you found any clues?" You ask.
"Just this feather and a scrap of leather," he replies holding out his hand.
