Life on Planet Limbo

Having taken your seat in the front of the shuttle, you have a birdseye view of the cockpit and Limbo. It's beautiful. The only thing that broke the redness of the Ocean was the continent smack dab in the middle of the planet.

You were jolted from your amazement of the planet, having never seen one before, from the sound over the radio.

"Shuttle 2, you have a Hylit ship fast approaching your location. Push to full speed, we have pilots en route to intersect," A voice said.

"Sir, we're at max speed," the pilot answered back over the radio.

"We'll do our best, over and out" was all the man said before the radio link was cut.

The pilot slammed his fist against the comm, looking at the co-pilot. HIs eyes widened, you noticed, just before a loud explosion from the back of the ship deafened you.

You glanced back, a large hole in the right side of the ship pulled a few people's seats out of it.

"Fuck," you mutter, gripping your knapsack tightly.

The ship spiraled nose down towards the ground, as you glanced back and forth between the pilots and the back of the ship. Suddenly, the back half gave way, hurdling into the sky, throwing people from the ship.

A few middle seats were left with some dead from the explosion.

You look at the pilots, frantically trying to regain control of the ship.

"We're not gonna' make it, we're going too fast," the co-pilot shouted.

"Try to nose up!" The pilot screamed.

The ground approached quickly, and you gripped the pilots door as they nosed up a little, skimming the tops of some trees before hitting an open patch of plains, the cockpit breaking apart from the middle of the ship, which stuck into some tress as the cockpit and front few rows hit the ground and rolled, pulling limbs from your body before snapping your neck, everything instantly going black.
