You open the herbalist kit. With this choice, your character will know and understand the outside world's shrubbery better than many. You will open up options in the storyline that will take you on adventures outside of bases to learn about the plantlife on Limbo.
With the Herbalist choice, things you will be able to do and see will include things like:
Being able to harvest plants for medicines and poisons.
Get hired to do various planting jobs and to retrieve special plants.
Hired to make medicine for Field Medics and hospitals.
Hired to make poisons for Assassins and Thieves.
Able to make your own drugs and enter the illegal drug trade.
