RUN

You take the kid and bend down together in the sale rack of clothing. You get a few minutes of peace before the monsters find the store. They slowly creep towards the rack of clothing. You put your hand over the kid's mouth, to ensure that he stays silent. The kid starts to freak out once your hand meets his mouth, and his legs start to dangle outside the rack. A split second later he is pulled out of your grasp and into the monster's mouth. You don't actually see it happening, but you hear the poor kid's screams and see his blood hit the floor. You start to silently weep. But you know this is your chance to escape, if you don't take it then they will most likely find you.
