Survival
Silence. Silence is all that was heard as Markus rest against the wall in a nice dark corner of a room. Weapon ready in hand, breathing heavily, he stared at the door. Any sudden noise, any at all, and he'd be ready. He kept resting in the corner, fatigue beginning to overcome his body. He had been running for days. He had not met a single intelligent human since leaving home 5 days ago. So far all he had met were people making weird growling noises trying to bite him or scratch him, and he also made a note of how supernaturally fast some of them were. Still, he could not comprehend what he was seeing.
Slowly, time crept on and Markus slowly fell to sleep. Hours past by. Day turned to night. Absolute silence all around. Suddenly Markus was awoken by a noise. Footsteps creaking across a wooden floor. The footsteps were slow, as if someone was creeping. Markus was sitting up now ready for whatever was about to happen.
