Search And Recruit
Nicole woke up. Having that fuzzy hair, she brushed her shoulder length hair gleefully. Then she had her breakfast. It was a Quaker oatmeal, maple and brown sugar flavor. It's very delicious and started her day right despite the tragic revelation the day before. Afterwards, she headed to the bathroom and took a shower. She brushed her teeth gently, applied a mouthwash and spit it out. She was done, so she got out of the bathroom and groomed up. Her attire is a black leather jump suit with a V-shaped neckline, long sleeves and is zipped up. Wears a knee-high black boots, a belt on her hips with SOLDIER's logo on the center of the buckle and she wears black gloves. Around her hips is her submachine gun holster by the right thigh. Her bullets strap is at the back, painted with gray color in a black vertical line style. She then puts on her traditional brown-clad shades and sets off.
Nicole wants some assistance so she called Beavis.
"Beavis! I need you to help me out in finding Raz's apartment. Can you?" Nicole asked as they speak over the phone.
"I can, ma'am! Where will we meet?" Beavis replied happily. He just woke up.
"We'll meet by the market. Be ready in one piece. I'm already prepared. I'll just wait for you." Nicole responded.
"I'll be as fast as I could. See you there." Beavis ended as he stops the call.
Beavis hurried in dressing up. He knows for sure that Nicole doesn't like tardiness. They met up at the market and then decided to come up an idea how to get to Raz's apartment. They went to Biggs' house to ask because he knows a lot about Raz. The two arrived by Biggs' yard outside his home. They rang the doorbell.
"Biggs! Are you there? Nicole and Beavis here. We just want to ask a question." Nicole shouted as she peeps through the small, golden doorhole. Seemingly, no answer was heard for a couple of minutes.
"Biggs! Are you there?" Nicole repeated as she continues to peep through the doorhole. Beavis stood behind her like a bodyguard waiting. Finally, Biggs came in rushing down the stairs to see who it was.
"Coming! Just took some hot shower." Biggs shouted as he goes down his spiral staircase leading to the living room.
"Oh thank you! He finally answered." Nicole told herself quietly. Biggs looked through the opposite doorhole to see who it was and opened it.
"Ahh. It's you, Nicole and Beavis. Welcome to my home. Come on in." Biggs welcoming Nicole and Beavis to his home.
Nicole and Beavis step foot in Biggs' glamorous house. It was so clean and well-furnished. They were greeted by the beautiful aroma of that house spray that makes it look like a livid garden in bloom. It was so fragrant. They looked at the walls and decorations. It was nice. Biggs let them sit down on the wide, fluffy blue couch made of cotton coupled with a scent of strawberry blossoms. They feel so comfortable!
"So what brings you here? How's your vacation? Here, have some food." Biggs asked as he sat down on his black chair and handed some cookies and milk to Nicole and Beavis.
"We had our breakfast. Thanks though. Vacation's fine. It's just the second day and there are revelations." Nicole replied as they turned down the offer. Biggs put away the cookies and milk.
"The vacation should be fine for all of us as we continue to sort things out and bring the HQ back." Biggs exclaimed.
"Yes though that's not what we came here for. We came to ask about Raz's apartment. I bet you know where he lives, do you? You were close back then." Nicole said.
"Why would you want to know?" Biggs looked at Nicole with some disgust as he was surprised of her question. Beavis quietly stares at them.
"We need to know. We need to head there. That's all." Nicole said firmly, seemingly not caring about Biggs' disgust on her.
"It's at #8 Camp 1, Kennon Road. Find the red, slender apartment overlooking a park. That's the one. Then just ask for him." Biggs replied. He felt like he has no answer to tell because Nicole stared at him angrily.
"Good. By the way, nice house. I wanted a house so cute but I just couldn't afford it. Come on, Beavis." Nicole joked around as they prepare to leave.
"Yeah, take care." Biggs bid farewell as they departed the house.
The two set off and hailed a miniature public mobile. They went to look around for the apartment Biggs described to them. The driver told them that they have arrived on their destination. Nicole and Beavis got out of the public transportation and were dropped at the park. It didn't take long for them to look for the red apartment as it is the only building with that color around the area they were dropped at. They went through the lobby and asked for Raz's whereabouts. It's at Room #88 in the 5th floor. So they took an elevator and dropped from there. Once they arrived at the doors, they knocked.
"Yes? Who are you?" Kim, one of Raz's friends living in the room, opened the door and there stumbled two operatives.
"Hi, is this where Raz stays?" Nicole shyly asked as she greets the woman and waved at her like a princess.
"Yes. He hasn't been here lately. Now, who are you and what do you came to do?" Kim replied and asked the same question again.
"I see. We're Nicole and this is Beavis. We're SOLDIER operatives like Raz. We know the status of Raz that's why we came here and we want to let you know about it." Nicole introduced herself and Beavis to Kim.
"Really? You guys should come in." Kim was somewhat excited so she let the two in and discussed about it. Nicole and Beavis noticed two more people on the room who were busy watching television programs.
"I'm Kim by the way. This guy here is Billy and that pretty girl over there is Nizz. Come and take a seat." Kim introducing themselves to the two operatives. Billy and Nizz waved at them as their sign of greeting them. Nicole and Beavis waved in return.
"Raz has been found on Route 409. We went there ourselves to check it out and sadly, he passed away." Nicole slowly said while she looks at Kim eye-to-eye.
"What!? I can't believe he died already. How could this be!?" A surprised Kim loudly exclaimed. Billy and Nizz looked on with shock as well.
"Really!? Oh my gosh! You can't be serious, are you?" A surprised Nizz told Nicole.
"Yes. We... were shocked as well. He told us to find you guys and inform you of his state. That was his last request." Nicole replied as she and Beavis looks at the 3 friends one-by-one. Kim stood up and started walking around. She then came up with an idea.
"Ah! We must avenge his death! The perpetrators will pay for what they've done!" Kim said as she clinches her fist and turned around to them. They all stared at her.
"Kim, how would we do that? We can't fight." Nizz exclaimed in a serious manner and the attention turned to her.
"We will fight. Ma'am, we will join SOLDIER. We will fight for him. Whoever menacing evil could do it to Raz, won't do it to us. He will be avenged for he did what was right. Sure, this city has been alarmed of this monstrosities outside. We can pull this off if we worked together. For justice, we will cleanse evil! That's a promise!" Kim firmly announced as she walks around while staring at them. Nizz and Kim looked at each other, as if they didn't know what to do. Nicole and Beavis stood up and confronted Kim.
"It's dangerous. Are you sure about this?" Nicole asked Kim, seeing her determination in place.
"Yes. We won't stand here doing nothing. We will fight." Kim firmly replied.
"Our temporary base is at Sindico St., Upper Quarry. Meet us there and I'll accompany you to our leader. Here's my contact info so you can contact me when you'll be coming over. I'll see you there. Farewell." Nicole said as they prepare to leave. She gave her phone number to Kim.
At this time, Billy and Nizz reluctantly agreed with Kim's plan. Nicole and Beavis left the apartment. The three friends continued to be sadden on the tragic death of Raz.
