Solipsism

"Well, it's certainly different," admitted the other voice.

"I told you." I watched, as Arcanus began chanting for the power to summon his dragon mount, the fluid movements of his arms in contrast to the strict rhythm of his words.

"So... what sort of obstacle will he need to overcome?" asked the other voice.

"I'm... not sure," I admitted. "Now that he has to perform rituals to wield magic, it's definitely something that he can't just use quickly, in the heat of battle. It requires him to be more cautious and collected."

"That makes sense. Incidentally, should he be worried about the swarm of monsters rushing in on his location?"

What was he talking about? I watched in horror as an assorted variety of monsters started to surround him, and attack from all directions. Manticores, griffons, harpies, and of course several varieties of evil dragons had Arcanus completely flanked. He tried to defend himself, but the dragon's evasive flight could only do so much, and the monsters weren't giving him enough time to complete a spell.

"Why must you ruin everything!" I cried, as I watched my latest hero get ripped to shreds.

"I don't know what you're talking about," said the other voice. "I had nothing to do with this. Looks like you lost another reality, though."

That part, at least, was true. Without Arcanus as the anchor, the rest of the reality was quickly unraveling.
