Solipsism

Once again, the other voice had ruined everything. For all of the vast powers I had, I was unable to undo the work of another. Anything I tried to do against the spacecraft would immediately be countered or negated by the other voice.

Sure, I could try and help my people defeat the spacecraft, but... how? They were peaceful farmers, not warriors. And even if they were, how could I teach them the skills necessary to use advanced technology in the few minutes before the craft were within range?

I could do nothing but watch as the spacecraft destroyed everything I had built. The other voice appeared to show no remorse as the fires grew in intensity from red, to yellow, to blue, to white.
