PROJECT: Absum
Memories seem to flash before your eyes, yet somehow you just can't seem to make sense of them. You can identify what they're all snapshots from, of course, the chunk of memories labeled, 'How I Got Here', yet you can't seem to made a solid story out of them.
You just... Are there, staring, watching as they pass you by like a lesson in class you know you will probably never understand.
Seeing your parents in your dreams sure is nice though.
You can see them smiling. You can only wonder if they're smiling now, now that you're not there with them.
You wouldn't want them to be sad, but then again, you wouldn't want them to forget they even had a son in the first place. You're only twelve after all, and you aren't confident enough in your ability to take care of yourself. Others may beg to differ, but you still need your parents.
And maybe, just maybe they need you.
You wake up once more, but lingering on that thought, you can not seem to be able to bring yourself to sleep again. You want to go home.
Home isn't a small space with metal bars.
Your bed definitely isn't this stiff and uncomfortable.
And suddenly, your chest began to ache.
"I wanna go home..." you say without even thinking about it, a quiet whine of sorts. No one seems to answer you.
