PROJECT: Absum

You slide off the bed, only to have your feet touch a cold cement floor. Where were your socks? Did you even wear socks? ... Did that even matter right now? It didn't really feel like it. Perhaps just the fact that all of this felt so real right now was really getting to you.

After all, you were in a cement cell. Cell = prison? Had you done anything wrong recently? You didn't think so, but your memory really was to hazy to draw any conclusions. You stood up, stretching your sore muscles, only to notice someone sitting up on the top bunk, legs dangling over the edge. A man. His gaze immediately narrowed in on you, but he didn't get off. A small figure seemed to be nuzzled under the blankets of the middle bunk, but you left it for now, as it looked as if they were shaking.

Plus the person sitting atop the highest bunk was still staring at you.

"Hi." you said a bit awkwardly, unsure of what else there was to say. The other's expression did not change upon hearing your terrible ice breaker of sorts, but he responded with a prompt, "Hello."

Both of you were silent for a moment, until he finally spoke once more.

"Who are you?"

You opened your mouth to respond, but there seemed to be yelling, in the other cells or something. You whipped around, to see what was going on, but the other sighed. "Don't bother. They've been trying to give him a piece of their minds for a while now." he muttered.

"Go on, who are you?"

Now that really is a good question. Who are you, indeed?
