"Listen, did Pavel say anything to you before last night? Anything that might have implied he was in trouble?"
"No, I don't think so." Arthur steps back from you, a contemplative look on his face.
"You're certain?"
"Well..." Arthur trails off. "He didn't say anything, but he looked a little... rattled when I last spoke to him."
"Rattled?" you ask. "How do you mean?"
"He was a little twitchy and couldn't quite focus on our conversation," Arthur explains. "It was almost like he was distracted. I'd guess he was thinking about something pretty important."
