As you run toward the nearest man to you, you decide your best option is to throw your spear at him. Hopefully you can kill him before you ever get to him! You launch you spear at him while on the run, but he simply raises his shield and deflects the oncomming projectile. Then to your amazement he is upon you with great speed, before you can even pull out your sword he beheads you. Now leaderless, there is no way the Spartans will be able to hold the pass.
