Happy Monster Island

Asking at the other buildings proves a waste of time. Nobody comes when you knock. Not even a "no room at the inn". You can't shake the feeling that there's no one upstairs asleep in those houses. There aren't any business banners or noren nor are there ornamental statues placed near the entrance, no candles visible on the window sills. They didn't even have house numbers.

In fact you felt sure that were you to kick down the door you would find no one asleep upstairs, no chairs, no beds no cookware no indication that these buildings had ever been lived in. Just empty shells with wax fruit in the bowls on the kitchen counter.
