Necromancer

Epilogue: Dark Destiny
One hundred years later
One hundred and fifty years have passed and the world is completely dead. There is nothing else left. You long ceased letting corpses, ghosts and other undead roam around. You tired of seeing the mockery of life and let everything stay dead as it should be. You're the only being that moves on this dead world anymore.
You rule everything and nothing. You now sit on your throne contemplating the past a lot.
You remember your Dad's abuse. You remember your sister defending you from orc youths. You remember your times as a bumbling wizard who could barely cast a fireball back in college. You remember your Mom's encouragement. You remember the tentacle time beasts. You remember making an alliance with the Ghoul King. You remember decapitating Velzix. You remember destroying the vampires. You remember storming the gates of the Zalan Empire. You remember Trelik's time trick. You remember Catalina.
You remember
You've finally done it all and this is what's come to. Alone on a dead world bored out of your hooded skull. Many times you've wished you could've joined Catalina all those years ago.
You've attempted to kill yourself in various ways and even attempted to "will" yourself to die over the years, but you're unsuccessful every time. Ironic that the only being that you can't kill is yourself.
You wonder about this world's gods. How is it that they never intervened? How could they let you do this? Even the evil gods that were once worshiped surely must've had a stake in not seeing the world become this. You've come to the conclusion that they either never existed, or they abandoned this world to die long ago.
One day blears into the next as you time and time again just experience your solitude.
Then one day is different
"I see you finally did it. Everything's dead."
"Serena?"
Once again Serena's ghostly form appears before you. You're not sure of how to react, but you're certainly relieved to break up the usual monotony.
"Yes, it's me. They decided to send me here again, though I must admit I was interested in how you were doing. The solitude must be overwhelming."
"Oh you know me, it's not the solitude so much as it's the boredom of having nothing to do anymore. I'm sitting here in a sort of limbo day after day waiting for something to happen. Looks like that finally occurred today. Certainly didn't expect it to though."
Serena smiles a bit at your comment.
"You always did need a bit of a push to get you going sometimes. Catalina even mentioned that. She's a very nice girl. You certainly chose a good queen."
" you you've spoken to Catalina?" you say oddly feeling a mortal sense of concern.
"Oh yes. Oh don't worry, I didn't expect you to mourn my death forever. You moved on like you were meant to. Just like you're supposed to move on now."
"How? I can't die. I know because I've tried it."
"You've been so focused on the death of this world that you've neglected to consider that there are others. Other worlds, other planes of existence. Dimensions you've yet to encounter."
"Uh, I don't really have any desire to enter the infernal realm or whatever that one is with those tentacle creatures."
"No, not those. There are many many more. You've outgrown this world long ago. You were meant to walk the planes. You are a sort of god now. Perhaps a young one, but a god none the less. It's time to leave."
Suddenly a portal opens up. Serena approaches it and beckons you to come with her.
"Where am I going?"
"That's up to you. The multi-verse is your playground, but remember that you are not alone out there. And if the time should come that you do tire of roaming, you may eventually join the realm of the dead and be at complete peace. Goodbye God of Death. We'll all be waiting for you to join us one day."
As Serena disappears you write one last thing in your journal before you leave. While it's true the entire world is dead, who's to say that life won't bloom here again some day? You feel a record of what happened here should remain even if nobody will ever read it.
After you finish, you put the journal on your throne and prepare to step into the portal.
Once again your journey of death takes another step, what awaits you this time is unknown, but it should certainly be interesting.
"Let's do it."
You step through the portal
