The Villain Manifesto
You run for the woods and it isn't long until the foliage at your wake is obscuring your vision of the town... and the town's vision of you. You breathe a sigh of relief and walk further into the forest.
Night is already upon you before you know it and you settle down beneath the comforting boughs of an old-growth oak tree. The space between the roots is even comfortable, with nice, cool moss to pad your sleep space.
With drowzy eyes, you stare groggily through the tree above into the eyes of the full moon, which lulls you further and further into a deep repose...
You are asleep for what seems like hours when you hear a twig snap close by. It is enough to alert your eyes, but not your body.
Your eyes snap open to see a dark form silhouetted against the bright moon. It levels a crossbow at your head.
"Nighty-night."
