Hall of Infinite Doors

"I'm not too tired to go to the market," you say. "I would be glad to be of assistance to you."

"What a delectable little treat you are!" coos Mrs. Gingerbread as she reaches behind her to take a small sheet of paper from the table. "Here is my shopping list. To get to the market, you take a left out our door, then another left onto Tart Terrace. Tart Terrace ends at Crumpet Way. Take a right on Crumpet Way and follow it all the way down to Silver Lake. The market is right there by the lake, you can't miss it!"

Repeating these instructions to yourself, you take the piece of paper from Mrs. Gingerbread, who stiffly winks one crumbly eye at you. Without looking at him, you mutter your farewell to Mr. Gingerbread and shut their door behind you. Almost immediately, the fresh smell of gingerbread again tantalizes your senses.

As you make your way down snowy Crumpet Way, you take a look at Mrs. Gingerbread's shopping list. It reads:

1 hard stick of extra-long cinnamon
2 big blue gumballs
Buttermilk: super-silky
5 chocolate babies

You're not sure exactly why, but you suddenly feel very excited about this shopping trip. As Crumpet Way slopes down toward Silver Lake, your eyes take in the breathtaking Gingerbread Land. In the distance, you can make out the shapes of many different snow-capped mountains. Colorful gingerbread houses dot the landscape in all directions, and the lake below shines with a brilliant metallic luster. You can also see a series of bright little tents along the edge of Silver Lake. Closer inspection confirms that this is indeed the Market, an open-air, old-fashioned affair filled with happy sounds and more delicious smells than your overloaded nose can comprehend.

Well, which item on your list would you like to hunt for first?
