Hall of Infinite Doors

You continue to flip channels. There are a couple empty rooms, but its still early and you want to make certain the person is going out for the evening It's not fully dark yet, but the overcast sky makes it look more so.

Then you come across a room with two roommates talking. The one you are drawn to is a striking girl with long dark brown hair with red highlights. Her figure is like Jessica Rabbit, and draping it is a long tight white dress with black trim, and large gold buttons with black shiny centers down the front. She wears a matching, high neck, long sleeve jacket in front--almost an evening wear, but not quite. She facinates you.

"Lydia," speaks her roommate, a thin dirty blonde, "that's awful."

Lydia, your object of facination, sits on a bed and flops her arms across her chest. "I know. I just want to shoot myself."

"That's awful!"

"But so true. Like, I gave him everything. He wanted a three way. I gave him a three way. And now, over the summer he goes and dumps me for her! I just can't do it."

"Jerk!" exclaims her roommate.

"I'm going to go for a walk in Ashbury Park."

Ashbury Park is about a half mile down the hill from here. It's where the campus ends and the world begins. At one time it was probably as good as its namesake in England, but there are now three low income high rises across the way. The park is not know for it's safety.

"Like that? Are you crazy? You'll get mugged!"

"I want to get mugged. I don't care anymore. And you can't stop me."

She rises to leave.

It occurs to you that there is a large tunnel beneath this house that empties into the river at the park. You remember seeing it during the summer. It looked like some sort of large storm drain.

If you left now, you could probably beat her down there.
