Hall of Infinite Doors
He spent a few hours in the park and then headed back to the library. He wanted to see if his email got through. He went to the library, but they were just closing up for the day and weren't allowing people in. He knew that tomorrow was a Friday because they would be having a store clean-out next door. He figured the library would be open on a Friday. He went back to his home and rested his legs for a bit, then checked his money, which was still safe. He opened his notebook, and started writing until he was tired and went to bed.
He slept soundly and nothing disturbed him until a car crash woke him up the next day. The crash occurred about a block and half away, and as he approached the scene with curiosity, an argument between owners of the cars broke out. He had seen a few car accidents in his day and knew cars also were very expensive, so he really felt for the two owners. He knew he'd probably never get a car, although in high school he had taken a course on it. Driver's Ed, it had been called. He smiled at the name. He took a moment to remember his Driver's Ed teacher when a police officer came up to him. The police officer wanted to know if he had seen the accident and if so who was responsible. He reluctantly replied that he was woken up by the crash and that he had not seen it. The officer then ignored him, because he was no longer of use.
Instead of waiting for the car crash owners to settle an agreement over what had happened with the officer, he walked to the library. It was too early for the library to be open, he noticed, so he stood outside until the librarians opened it up. He remembered where the computers where located and this time there were no people here. He was the only one at the island of computers. He got on the computer he had got on yesterday and tried to get onto his email. He couldn't remember how to do it, so he asked the librarian for help. It was a different librarian this time. The librarian asked for his email address, so he apologized and went back to get it. When he came back to the library, someone was on the computer he had been on earlier and the day before. He was assured by the librarian that emails did not care what computer you where on, they would work from any computer. He hadn't known this, so he was intrigued. He got assistance from the librarian and got onto his email account. He was excited to see that he had an email. When he opened it up however, it was a bunch of advertisements and promotions for stuff. The librarian laughed and told him it was called Spam and that everyone got it.
