The Great Conflict

Climb through the floor and begin to traverse the horizontal shaft. As you progress you find that the temperature continues to rise and even some metal pieces particularly vulnerable to heat conduction have started to glow red. You are able to even touch these pieces with the gloves of your suit without any ill effect. Soon you reach the end of the dark shaft and jump down into the hallway that was described to you. Steam makes vision very difficult here and you can see the ripples of heat emanating off of the sealed door at the end of the hallway. You search the control panel that has been shut down and find the red manual override button is the only button still operational.
