Xeresgate
You begin your trek east toward Xeret's Loch. It is a full day before you even spy another living thing (which, as luck would have it, is a vulture) and you quickly grow ever more hungry.
The path to Xeret's Loch is most certainly long, as you haven't even caught a glimpse of the kingdom yet. Before long, you come to an odd sort of fork in the road. The leftmost path leads to what appears from this distance to be an apple orchard. It is fenced about, but looks to have no other restraint to what would certainly be an abundant food source. The rightmost path leads up a short hill and to what is most likely the entrance to an underground temple only a stone's throw away. With the smoke billowing from the holes carved in the sides of the hill, there's likely to be a sacrifice of some sort taking place. And in these parts, where there's a sacrifice, there's meat. Of course, the path also continues toward Xeret's Loch, and as you've never been there before, it's entirely likely that it's over the next horizon... and you could satiate your hunger there.
What will you do?
