The Great Conflict
The small metallic pod that had transported you here returns to the very same spot and its door swings open. You stand inside and as soon as the door closes you once again receive the tingling sensation and the next thing you know the door is opening inside the pod hanger. You walk out of the pod and you can hear the automentor speak to you through your visor, "Report back to command headquarters for your next mission."
As you begin to walk towards the exit you suddenly hear a thundering explosion which causes the entire room to shake. Almost losing your balance you look around and see that all of the electrical devices have been shut down. Most of the little robots that had been scurrying around stop dead in their tracks and most of the lights and computer monitors in the area have been shut down. Red and orange emergency lights have kicked on as well as the emergency air pumps. A loud alarm begins to go off and a primitive computer recording speaks through the emergency intercom. "Warning: This is not a drill. There has been an attack on this facility. Report to your respective command posts immediately for further instruction from your supervisor. There has been severe technical malfunction as a result of the attacks. Base status is unknown. Remain vigilant for any hazard or threat, enemy or internal."
This room lies directly above The Command Headquarters and has an elevator that guides transportation between the two rooms. You walk down the pathway past several empty pods to the elevator and find that it is without power. It seems you are going to need to find another way out of this room.
