Hall of Infinite Doors

As you approach the door you notice that the carving in this door seem to be of a dragon looking creature. You feel an enormous amount of power flowing from the carving and feel as though at any moment the dragon could reach out and come to life, in fact you think you notice the carving starting to move. Yes, the carving is definitely moving, and it's getting bigger! You begin to feel a terrible, inescapable dread. You realize that if you stay any longer you're going to be in serious trouble, and even though every logical part of you is screaming for you to run you cannot. You are strangely attached to the carving and you know you cannot escape it. In fact you know the beast in the carving. You have no idea where you may have seen it before, but it is definitely familiar. At this time the door has begun to glow a bright crimson red and emit a terrible screeching sound. The hallway is filled with the sound of a thousand off key trumpet blasts and the door is emitting unbearable heat to match it's blinding red glow, but you notice none of it. Your sole focus is the carving of the beast that you know very well, but cannot place. It seems to be flying directly toward you. If only you could remember it's name... The beast seems as though its getting very close now, and flame begins to spew from it's mouth. Just as it seems the beast will reach you and immolate you with its flame something clicks in your head. You know it's name and you speak it without hesitation. "Bahamut." The heat and the sound stops as soon as the name is uttered. The carving is back in it's original position. You are fascinated by this beast, but before you can inspect the carving anymore the teeth that make up the door begin to slide apart. You are so curious as to what lies behind this door, yet you know if you enter it you will face an incredible amount of danger. What Do you do?
