The Great Conflict

You walk up three steel steps and into the main headquarters. This massive room has holographic computer monitors projected onto virtually every wall and a large table in the middle with various battle plans scattered about. Several humans and a few robots mill around strategizing and preparing for their next offensive against the faithful. You can see many satellite images of various faithful strongholds and designs for new weapons as well as effective countermeasures for the supernatural abilities of The Faithful. The commander, a small Asian man with an attitude that more than makes up for his size is standing in the center of the room tapping his foot impatiently. He is a cold rigid man with scars across his face from the initial battles against The Faithful. You walk up to him and stand attention and say almost instinctively, "Reporting for Duty Sir!"

Without saying a word the commander begins to walk around you while you stand at attention. You stand six foot six with your combat gear and bio enhancements placed in and tower over fourteen inches over this man yet his attitude is still enough to make you feel small. He remains silent as he circles you and finally after what seems like an hour says in a deep gruff voice, "Tardiness is not acceptable from any solider, even one as gifted and powerful as you! Every precious minute that is wasted is another minute The Faithful are tapping into even more potent and destructive supernatural abilities. Our tacticians have decided to accelerate our military campaign. With the rate that our technology is advancing we are getting new and powerful weapons quicker than we can educate our men to use them. We must maintain efficiency and cannot afford to waste precious resources while we wait for our men to train. Since you are one of the best and the brightest Legionnaire number six three eighteen we are accelerating your training. All of your basic training has been deemed obsolete by the council and we are ready to send you into field training immediately. With your sleep function having been deactivated you should be ready for your first mission in under a week. Do you have any questions or information you feel it would be wise to add to this briefing?"
