Paul's Kingdom

You stand up and brush away the dirt and pebbles from your body. You're wet, dirty, and alone. All of your friends from the Kingdom are back upstream.

Worst of all, you barely know where you are. You had kept most of your adventures upstream (closer to the Yuran homeland) and had not explored the downstream area much at all. In fact, not for a few months.

Clearly, the smartest thing to do would simply be to follow the creek back up and find your friends. Pretty foolproof, but you so know that there are many prickers that would bar your way, and in order to avoid some cuts you'd need to risk treading through the creek again, though by experience you've learned it's not too hard to walk up a creek.

Or, you could explore the area and follow the creek later or if you get into trouble. You may just find something of benefit to your kingdom, and there's a slight chance the Yuras penetrated this far downstream, so you could clear the area of the infestation.

You shoulder a large stick and look around. This part of the woods is dominated by the creek, trees hang over its banks and moss covers every rock. It would be a fun place to explore.
