You go through the door and enter a long bending hallway. The door slams shut behind you and then vanishes. The hallway has several paintings up and it bends around a full 180 degrees before ending with a door. Looks like you have only one way you can go.

You have 5 choices:

Go through the door.
Examine the first painting.
Examine the second painting.
Examine the third painting.
Examine the fourth painting.
