"Miles had it the worst of all of us… or maybe he had it the best. He got to die first, you see, they set up them punji sticks. He was crawling through those hellish tunnels and bam he got stabbed by one of those… sharpened bamboo shoots is what they were. They put a little bit of feces on the tips. They were razor sharp and they made your wounds infected. Miles was a little guy… maybe 5 2… and he couldn't handle it. He died before we could get a medivac. A few days. It started with the fevers, and the shaking, and then the vomiting and finally he died. He wouldn't be the last one though… believe me… he was a sign of what was to come…"
