The Mold

The instant you press down on the activation switch all sensory stimulation immediately ceases. You are in a void, completely numb. There is no light sound or even an odor. This isolation seems to persist for an eternity but is eventually shattered by a high pitch ringing. The sound grows louder as if it were approaching. Beams of white light begin to move vertically up and down all around you. The light gets brighter and the sound louder until you feel as if you are going to be blinded and deafened. Soon the sound and light become a single sensation that completely envelops you. Just as you begin to lose touch with reality itself everything ceases. Darkness prevails once again. In the distance a small tunnel of light begins to form. It approaches and grows larger and larger. You begin to hear mumbled sounds escape from the orifice and reverberating throughout the emptiness. As the light gets closer you are soon able to distinguish sounds. The first you recognize is the sound of small children's laughter and then of a baby crying. You begin to notice a taste and scent of apples. Finally you begin to get the sensation of holding a small box between your hands. All these sensations grow more vivid and stronger until the tunnel of light reaches you and you unite and become one. It is at this instant that the very fabric of existence reassembles and you return to a corporeal state.
