Extend the Story - Add a Room

With care, you turn over the child, not knowing what to expect. As you look at her face (for you can now see that it is a her), you feel yourself going quickly stiff. Your hands and feet begin to feel heavy, and it becomes hard to bend your arms. Quickly, you flip the girl back onto her face.

As you do so, you glance down at your now stiff hands, and discover that they've turned to stone! You'd heard reports of vampires, four headed dogs, zombies, werewolves, and other horrors...but a baby gorgon? That was the last thing you had expected to find in the street. You wonder if you've changed in some way, some way you'd not noticed. Most people who changed got sick first, but maybe that's just due to the physical changes of form; was this girl sick before it happened?
