<font face="bookman old style">Life is little more that an unfair game of poker, filled with one gamble after another. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose. The latter is more applicable to life in the awkward west in which you live; a land that is still socially undefined and untamed and wild. A land that holds many secrets and does not share them willingly.

One of the pivotal survival skills of anyone in your 'profession' is not second guessing oneself once a decision is made. In this dangerous game of poker, following through with the decision is just as important as the decision itself. This is a test of one's testicular fortitude, if you will - a test you have passed countless times before. But not this time. It was less than a quarter of a second that you hesitated - that time was all Jorge needed to fire his six-shooter with pinpoint, deadly accuracy. A fraction of time that would destroy your life. The bullet violently rips through the soft flesh of your lungs. Jorge mercilessly fires again and again, each shot hitting it's mark precisely. You slump to the ground and convulse violently as your internal organs shut down and your nerves go haywire. As your vision blurs and fades altogether, a warm sensation covers you like a wool blanket on a cold December night.

A feeling of the most profound peace you've ever known follows soon after.
