The Big 'un!

You are still holding the watch in your hand. You slip it into your pocket. The girl is put onto a stretcher and carted off. You answer a few questions about the incident to the police, but do not mention the watch. You promise to yourself that you will call the girl in the hospital in a few days and see what happened.

That night, you are in your room studying. You examine the watch. What you thought were scratches are really intricatly carved runes around the edge. You want to put it on, but it is getting late. Maybe, you should just check your e-mail and go to bed.
