This Story is Going Nowhere Fast

You fling out your hands and yell loudly as a blast of wind enfolds you and blinding light shines from the very center of your heart. You then start spinning around, faster with every moment, pointing your toes toward the earth. With a loud rumbling the earth starts to give way, the whole ground shakes like an earthquake, and in an instant you vanish like a bullet.

Shortly thereafter you come flying up through the ground in downtown Shanghai. People are thrown about you in a whirlwind. People are screaming and running through the streets.
