Final Stand
Thinking back to all the old gangster movies you saw re-runs of during those sleepless flu season nights, the place that gangsters always seemed to have hidden their trap doors is behind the cash register and somewhere along the counter.
Quickly running around the counter, you begin your search looking for a metal puller or suspicious weak spot in the floor. Toward the rear of the cashiers counter on the floor, you find a small metal ring attached to the floorboards. The outline of what appears to be a trap door makes a 2x2 foot square outline in the dust surrounding the metal ring.
Pulling up and out, the entire 2x2 square lifts out of its hole. What luck!
Tossing the heavy hidden door lid aside, you peer down into the darkness. You can make the out the beginning of a metal latter attached to the cavernous wall about 6 inches below the lip of the entrance.
With little time left between being consumed by fire or the vampire things, what should you do?
