POTC - A Piratical Romp Through the Movie

You dive from the ship's mast with easy finesse and slide smoothly into the cool ocean water. Off in the distance, close to the port, you see two of His Majesty's finest, floating casually, waiting for their next assignment. As you slowly swim towards them, you quietly contemplate the better of which to commandeer. While the larger ship looks quite impressive, you know that something that conspicuous would never make it out of the harbor unnoticed. Its smaller sister seems much more reasonable, and even though you would love a showy entrance, getting the Pearl back is priority.

As you approach the port, you begin to see the everyday hustle and bustle of Port Royal. The road above is rife with riffraff and gentry, merchants and sailors (most of which are fellow pirates in disguise). A man sitting, balancing on the edge of the gangway catches your eye. He seems to be waiting for something, or someone. And the satchel beside him is bulging with . . . apples! The many days at sea have left you parched, and the apples beckon to you. They call to you. Deftly, your fingers enclose around the green fruit. A small gasp from above ceases your movements momentarily, and if you hadn't already been wet from the water, your forehead would have quickly dampened with nervous sweat. It came from a little boy, about the age of eight. He reminds you of yourself at that age. Your finger instinctively touches to your lips and you wink at the boy. Not being able to resist showing off a bit, with a flick of the wrist, you toss the apple high into the air and snatch it back into your hand. The boy smiles with wishes to be just like you, as you swim towards the ships once again.

Once beside the smaller ship, you begin to swim around it, looking for the easiest way onto its deck. All of a sudden, you hear a panicked scream, "Elizabeth!" Near the fort wall, you see a dainty figure flutter towards the water, and the rocks, below. Two men stand on the wall where the girl, assumedly by the name of 'Elizabeth,' had fallen. The one moves to dive in after her, but is stopped by the other man: "The rocks! Sir, it's a miracle she missed them."
