Final Stand
Going down in the basement, you pick up an empty plastic 15 gallon tank to fill with gasoline. You reflect that thankfully many of the abandoned cars still have some fuel in their tanks, although over a year of abandonment has left many lacking even the faintest drop.
You go through the meticuolous effort of opening and closing the garage door behind you. While you could take your Willys for a drive, you would prefer the open air provided by walking.
Instead of taking 11th Avenue, you decide to take Franklin street toward the gasoline station on 5th Avenue. You have cleared out most of the available gasoline in the cars directly around your home. This means venturing a little further from home each time, but you have generally been careful to return home before darkness.
Making your way along Franklin Street, you take note that not much time is left before the sun goes down. It has been a long day and you don't know if you want to press on...
What shall you do?
