The Mysterious Object

The jewel beginst to get hot. Mike drops it. It melts when it hits the floor. "What was that?" Mike wonders. As he looks at the now melted jewel all of a sudden he sees something move. He looks closer and sees tiny arms and legs caught in the hot melted goo. It is a baby dragon! It hadn't been a jewel at all! It was actually an EGG! Mike carefully picks up the dragon and hugs it. Mike laughs as it licks his face. Mike then here's the voice again. "That's mine!" it says. Mike turns and sees that the voice belongs to a mother dragon! Mike is scared since the dragon is so huge but he knows that she won't hurt him. "Thank you for finding my baby for me!" the dragon says. The baby dragon in Mike's arms wiggles free and flies up to meet its mother. The two dragons fly away and leave Mike staring after them. Mike is said to see them go but he is still happy. Afterall, it's not everday that you get to meet a dragon!
